Good afternoon everyone we have to turn to you for help once more.
Our Temporary response vehicle is operational to insure that anyone in need of emergency assistance can be assisted. Unfortunately there are alot of costs involved in the registration process of an emergency vehicle and we please ask that you open you hearts to assist us in covering these costs and to acquire a new battery for the vehicle.

As some of you may know our Non profit vehicle suffered fatal engine damage a few weeks ago. We are busy with the fight with the insurance company to try and get them to cover the damages but the chances are not good. We are busy with multiple companies negotiating to hopefully get a new vehicle sponsored for us.

Just after 22:00 the Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit team received a call for a house that is well alight in Faerie Glen area.

On arrival we found a Thatch roof Lapa burning. With the high winds there was a risk of the fire spreading to neighboring houses, due to the quick response by City of Tshwane firefighters the fire was contained and extinguished.

We are glad to report that no one was injured during the fire. The cause of the fire will be subject to investigation.

At 17:30 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit was dispatched to a serious pedestrian vehicle accident on Solomon Mahlangu drive in Pretoria east.

On arrival we found one female patient who sustained serious injuries to her back and her leg. The decision was made to airlift the patient to a specialist hospital for the best possible treatment.

Just after 15:00 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit received a call for a patient that fell off a horse. On arrival we found that the patient had a suspected spinal fracture.
Due to the nature of the injury the decision was made airlift the patient to hospital.

Just after 19:00 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit was activated for a serious motor vehicle accident on the M30 in Bashewa.

On arrival we found one patient with critical injuries. No ambulances or Advanced Life Support units were available at the time so the decision was made to airlift the patient. Halo Aviation was activated and airlifted the patient to a hospital in Pretoria.

just before 21:00 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit received a call for a serious motor vehicle accident on the N4 highway in Wilgers Pretoria. On arrival we found one vehicle with extensive accident damage in the middle of the road on a pile pf grain.

On inspection we found 6 people 2 of whom was heavily entrapped in the wreckage. We assessed all the patients and found that none of them showed any signs of life and all 6 of which 3 were children were declared dead on arrival.

The truck who according to eyewitnesses made a U-Turn on the highway was nowhere to be found.

SAPS, TMPD and RTMC officers were on scene to investigate the grueling accident.

One deceased 3 others injured.

Just after 19:00 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit received a call for a serious motor vehicle accident on the N4 Witbank highway.

On arrival we found that a single vehicle overturned injuring 4 people. While 3 patients sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for a checkup one person sadly sustained fatal injuries after they were ejected out of the vehicle.

The scene was handed over to SAPS for investigation as to how the accident occurred.

Just before 09:00 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit team was activated for reports of an explosion in the Boschkop area of Pretoria east. On arrival we found 2 men who sustained injuries one minor and one critical after a diesel tank exploded.

Due to the extensive burn wounds on the one patient the decision was made to airlift him to a specialist burns unit in Johannesburg.
The Netcare911 aero medical helicopter was called in to assist.
SAPS was and scene and will investigate the cause of the explosion.

Just before 16:00 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit volunteer was activated for a serious motor vehicle accident in Lynwood Glen area of Pretoria east.
On arrival we found a patient entrapped after his vehicle collided with a tree.

On assessment we found that the patient sustained critical injuries and the decision was taken to airlift him to a specialist trauma hospital in Johannesburg. Netcare911 aero medical helicopter came to assist and landed at a nearby primary school.

Just before 10:00 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit team was alerted to a call where a child fell from the window of their 5th story flat. On arrival the child was found to have sustained critical injuries and our medic worked alongside other medical personnel to stabilize the child.

Due to the extent of his injuries the decision was made to airlift the patient to a specialist trauma hospital in Johannesburg.
Netcare911 helicopter came to transport the patient who was stabilised.
