Just before 16:00 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit volunteer was activated for a serious motor vehicle accident in Lynwood Glen area of Pretoria east.
On arrival we found a patient entrapped after his vehicle collided with a tree.
On assessment we found that the patient sustained critical injuries and the decision was taken to airlift him to a specialist trauma hospital in Johannesburg. Netcare911 aero medical helicopter came to assist and landed at a nearby primary school.
