Just after 19:00 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit was activated for a serious motor vehicle accident on the M30 in Bashewa.
On arrival we found one patient with critical injuries. No ambulances or Advanced Life Support units were available at the time so the decision was made to airlift the patient. Halo Aviation was activated and airlifted the patient to a hospital in Pretoria.
