Just before 17:00 our Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit team was called for a jogger that was hit by a vehicle on Solomon Mahlangu drive in the Faerie Glen area of Pretoria. On arrival we found the jogger sustained critical injuries and was transported to a specialist trauma hospital by a private ambulance.
The identity of the jogger was unknown so our team circulated photos of his running watch (Which was unfortunately damaged) and some of his other items hoping someone would recognize him.
Unfortunately upon following up with the hospital on 24/06/2021 the hospital informed us that the jogger has succumbed to his injuries. The hospital staff handed over his belongings to SAPS who are still attempting to identify the man.
