Just after 20:00 the Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit team received a call for a serious motor vehicle accident on Lynwood road.
On arrival we found that 2 vehicles collided at high speed. One patient sustained serious injuries and needed advanced life support intervention. The patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The one driver attempted to flee the scene but was caught close by by TMPD officers. The person was taken to SAPS for further statements and testing of blood alcohol levels.VEMRU is a registered NPO and PBO that is solely reliant on donations and sponsorships.
